Metron and IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM)
- Integrated ITIL® Capacity Management and modeling
- Advanced network and systems management
Productivity benefits are available from your existing systems management framework without the need to undergo further implementation effort on agent technology.
Many organizations have spent considerable time and effort implementing a high quality systems management environment to ensure availability and performance of their business critical systems using IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM).
Existing investment in IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) is enhanced through feeding data from ITM Agents into Athene’s market-leading capacity analysis, reporting and modeling software.

IBM Tivoli and Athene
The IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) - Athene interface provides an automated mechanism for transferring performance data captured by IBM's Tivoli product to an Athene Performance Database (PDB)
The interface works via a direct connection from the Athene Control Center to a SQL Server or UDB hosted Tivoli Data Warehouse (TDW). Data for the appropriate target systems and time periods is extracted from the TDW and written to the Athene PDB, from where it can be reported on using Athene's standard reporting functionality.
The ITM interface has been developed against the ITM database schema for v6.1. Earlier versions of ITM are not supported by the interface.
The interface currently delivers performance information captured by Tivoli for Windows, UNIX and Linux.
A TDW can be hosted on a SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle Database. The type of host database used determines the connection parameters that Athene requires to communicate with the database and extract the appropriate metrics.
