Users of the Lotus Domino suite of products under Windows can set the Windows Performance Monitor to receive Domino statistics alongside the standard performance metrics collected by Windows. In order to enable this feature, a command must be run on the Domino server to add the new counters to the list available in Performance Monitor. The required command is located in the Domino program directory and is run with the following syntax:

notesreg.bat Domino_program_directory

The command is a batch file, and the only argument required is the Domino program directory, e.g.:

notesreg.bat d:\lotus\domino

Once the command has been issued, Performance Monitor needs to be restarted. A new Object type, called 'Lotus Notes' will now be available in the Objects list, and from here, the entire Domino related metrics would be available in the Instance list.

Any third-party software that uses the same sources as Windows Performance Monitor to provide its data can also read these new metrics.
