The SNMP service is required
to receive TCP/IP counters. To check if
SNMP is installed and running, open Control
Panel and then Services, look in the List
Box for the SNMP service, if it is not listed
then SNMP needs to be installed. If it is
listed check it has 'Started' next to it
in the List Box.
For help with the SNMP service; Click the
'Help' button at the bottom of the Services
dialog box, select 'Help Topics' and click
on the Index tab. Find 'SNMP' in the List
Box and double click on it. Now double click
on 'TCP/IP Procedures Help' and then double
click Installing and Configuring SNMP. You
now have information on how to Install,
Configure or Start/Stop the SNMP service.
