| An introduction to the lifecycle approach to IT infrastructure management put forward with ITIL® v3 and the role of Capacity Management within it. In ITIL v2, Capacity Management was one of five Service Delivery processes with three sub-processes and a number of associated activities. In ITIL v3, Capacity Management “as we know it” is spread across the set of five "Service" books (Strategy, Design, Transition, Operation, Continual Improvement). While it is harder to find v2’s “Capacity Management Process” in the new books, the rewrite has also acknowledged and emphasized the importance of Capacity Management throughout the Service Lifecycle. |
| Rather than just presenting a marketing overview, the session includes practical interaction and exercises aimed at significantly increasing delegates’ chances of successfully bridging the gap between ITIL® v2 and v3. |
| Anyone with ITIL® v2 qualifications and any curiosity about how ITIL® has evolved with v3 will benefit from attending the course |
